FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why to choose our cattery?

We constantly attend cat events to ensure the excellent standards of the British Shorthair breed. Each male cat is given a high title. Our cats’ grandparents and other relatives hold prestigious titles from many nations and systems. We monitor the health of all our cats; as a result, we guarantee kitten health. All of our cats and kittens are cage-free, fully developed, and fed natural meat and a quality diet.
TICA classifies me as a British shorthair specialist.

Before you contact us.

Have you discussed the idea of acquiring a pet with your immediate family or your landlord? Make sure that no one in your family is allergic to cats.
If you discovered or developed an allergy to cats, that’s not a reason to return the kitten or the deposit.

Can we reserve a kitten?

While you wait, you can put your name on a waiting list.
To get on the waiting list, you have to pay a $500 deposit that you can’t get back.
The deposit goes toward the total purchase price. You can pay with Apple Pay, Zelle, or CashApp. By paying the fee, you accept the deal and contract.
Your deposit will hold the kitten until you pay the full amount.

How much is the price of your kittens?

Kittens are only sold as pets. Not for breeding.
# Kittens are priced between $700 and $2500.

The British Shorthair Breed has several Features

1/ British Shorthairs have wide round eyes, a short straight nose, and a flat face. If the kitten’s jaw is flat, it will produce short-lived tears. Therefore, you need to pay special attention to the area. Our advice will assist you in making the right decisions.
2/ British Shorthairs have soft gums; we’ll give you advice on how to keep your kitten healthy.
3/ Belly: This breed has an excess-skin belly. British Shorthair kittens are overweight, so check their food after neutering/spaying.

When are the kittens ready to go to their new home?

Your new kitten can come to your home between 8-15 weeks of age. Spay/Neuter before 5 months (females) or 6-8 months of age (males). Be provided basic veterinary care as needed. Must be as indoor pets and not permitted to roam outdoors.

Vaccinations.

At 7 weeks and 9 weeks, we will give the first two sets of shots, which include panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, and calicivirus. The FIP hasn’t received any shots from us. You should talk to your vet to find out what they think about these vaccinations. The immune systems of kittens that stay inside and don’t come into contact with other cats often don’t need these shots because they stress them out too much.

GUARANTEE

At Luxurious British Shorthair Cattery, we provide a one-year health guarantee against congenital diseases from the date of purchase. A licensed veterinarian must conduct an autopsy to confirm the death of a kitten due to a congenital condition within the first year. Please note that this guarantee does not cover genetic disorders, feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), or feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).

If your kitten receives a diagnosis of FIP, there is still hope! The disease is treatable. Contact us, and we’ll guide you through the next steps.

Returning a kitten.

The buyer must return the kitten to Luxurious British Shorthair Cattery if they are unable to keep it for any reason. Please be aware that we will not issue any refunds if you return or surrender the kitten to us for reasons not covered by the Health Guarantee.

What do we do for our cats?

We ensure the health and safety of our cats by not allowing them outdoors at our closed cattery. Our veterinarian regularly checks our kittens and cats, and we can provide their contact information upon request.

While we do not offer boarding services, we are always delighted to welcome back any kitten you purchased from us and find them a suitable home if needed. However, if you require temporary boarding, we can recommend trusted kennels that we’ve previously used.

For health reasons, we do not personally use kennels. Instead, we hire professional caregivers to stay with our cats when we’re away. Additionally, we retire our breeding cats after five years to prioritize their well-being. Finally, our category strictly adheres to a “no declawing” policy.
